Try Ziina todayIn 2020, Faisal and Sarah Toukan kept running into the same problem. Splitting dinner meant exchanging 23-digit IBANs. Paying a freelancer took days. Sending money to family required multiple apps and a maze of fees.
They saw the gap between the Middle East's ambition and its outdated financial tools. So they left Silicon Valley, joined Y Combinator and moved back to Dubai to build what should have existed all along.
What started as the region's first social payments app evolved with the people who used it—entrepreneurs getting paid, restaurants running daily operations, families supporting each other instantly.
Today, Ziina powers money movement across the UAE, from individuals to fast-growing startups to some of the region's most innovative businesses.
